First up was ‘Photography Monthly Magazine’ September Issue as part of the readers top 100 photographs as voted by the readers (obviously). I came 3rd out of 100 and just missed out on some goodies – yaaah, but booo at the same time! You can check out the chosen photo of Josie Raven over at flickr.

The following month I appeared in the same magazine – ‘Photography Monthly Magazine’ October Issue. This time my photo of Michelle Macdonald was used as part of an instructional article (2 pages) about camera histograms and how to use them properly. I’m very glad my photo’s can go towards helping others get the most out of their cameras and enjoy photography as much as i do. I would say though on a less positive note that Photography Monthly Magazine are awful communicators and awful payers (still waiting for that cheque people!! and feeling pretty hard done by!) Just so you know

Not so much photography related but awesome none the less. My graphic design and illustration work showcased in a special edition of Computer Arts magazine – Computer Arts Projects issue 229 ‘UK Design’. I’m highlighted in the Showcase – Inspirational Projects section and have a whole page to myself alongside some of the UK’s hottest designers and illustrators

Wow wow wow, so happy with this shoot – you have to check the whole set over at our site, cat must have been freezing but it didn’t bother her one little bit, Sarah did such a good job with the makeup and gilly enjoyed soaking our home studio. We’ve been experimenting with lighting alot recently and hopefully it looks a little different from our usual stuff. Cat looks killer anyways so that’s all that matters. A big thanks to everyone involved

It’s been a while coming – another shoot with the lovely Catriona Rennie. Its was sooooooo chilly and wet so we made it brief . We shot out in the woods near Camperdown park in Dundee. We were going for quite a dramatic, theatrical feel, our inspiration was the film ‘The Village’. I’m digging the way cat’s red lipstick and hair and the rose contrast against the dark woodland setting. Thanks to Sarah again for the great makeup, we couldn’t have done it without you. Another shoot with Cat on the way.

Last shoot of the day with CherrySpikes from Edinburgh, this was again shot in our home studio in Dundee and the 50mm really began to shine creating a lovely depth of field and producing the softness and dreaminess we were looking for, these last 3 shoots were a bit out of our comfort zone but have hopefully pulled them off and was made all the more easier with the excellent modelling skills of cherryspikes –  a very productive day overall – you can view all the sets with cherry over in our photo diary on our website and you can see her model mayhem page here. Second shoot of the day, playing with seamless backdrop and the most amazing shoes ever, this again was shot in our home photography studio in dundee and just goes to show you don’t need loads of space to achieve a full length clean portrait – you have to check out the whole set and look out for the star wars reference – it should make you laugh – be warned though, set contains some nudity

We met up with CherrySpikes from Edinburgh again as she is updating her portfolio and going nude for the first time – we were all keen to work with each other again having both come on leaps and bounds in the last few months since our last shoot – originally we had planned a beach shoot but in the middle of october with high winds and rain we were perhaps kidding ourselves a little – damn the scottish weather – so plan B took shape and panned out very well indeed. Alot of experimentation with a 3 light setup got some great results creating a dark and alternative feel to the shoot.

So happy with this shoot, Danni has some style alright, love the high fashion look with the leather jacket. This was shot just around the corner at Morgan Academy school in Dundee. Danni came along with her friend and thoroughly enjoyed the experience – she loves to climb. Sarah did a cracking job on the makeup and everyone seemed very happy with the final shots. I was commissioned this week by Jordan Tinker from Blairgowrie to produce portfolio shots to start off her modelling career. She’s a lovely girl and was very confident for her first time modelling. Sarah provided the makeup and gillybean assisted all day. Alot of fun was had with leaves, dogs and trikes and some really successful final shots. I love autumn although it’s bloody freezing! oh also digging the canon 50mm 1.4
